A Charity Golf Event Unlike Any Other
The Gladney Center for Adoption has been serving families and creating bright futures through adoption for 131 years. The Gladney Cup champions that history through a preeminent, biennial golf event, where attendees gather for a PGA TOUR experience and play at the greatest U.S. Open Courses. In the 20 year history of The Gladney Cup, more than $9 million has been raised in support of the Gladney Center for Adoption.
The Gladney Cup offers its players an opportunity to play the most prestigious and challenging courses in the U.S. with all the ammenities of a PGA player, including caddies, marshals, and the ambience of a professional tour experience. In addition to tournament play, golfers and spouses are treated to events and celebrations to make their experience one they will always remember.
The Gladney Cup tournament is played by foursomes. They are scored by the two best balls per foursome. The foursome net score includes all handicaps. The real-time electronic leader-board tracks the progress of each foursome throughout the tournament.
The idea for The Gladney Cup golf tournament began in 1999 with a Gladney Dad, who wanted to give back to the organization who helped build his family through adoption.
